'Block Party!': Learn to Block Your Handknits

IMG_0877.JPG

Back by popular demand!

Learn to block your hand knits at our next ‘Block Party!’

We will wet-block your finished hand knit project by washing and pinning it out together.  Learn strategies to improve your knitting and hand finishing! We will discuss how to block different fibers, different methods of blocking including steam blocking and wet blocking, and we’ll learn how to best use wires, blocking mats, T-pins and more.

Blocking transforms knitting into finished fabric.  Wet blocking, or washing and pinning out hand knits, can open up and reveal detail in lace patterns, clarify stitches and shaping in garments, clean your finished piece, and bring your knitting to gauge. Learn to block well so you can give your hand knits a professional finish.’

Skill Level: Any level.
